When is your “best time”?

from lifehacker

Uber-marketer Seth Godin has written up an interesting article titled “When to Start”, targeting the excuses we give ourselves for not doing something that we’re longing to do; i.e., start a business, start a family, take a leap, etc. Here’s a few that I’ve told myself:

  • The best time to start is when you’re sure it’s going to work.
  • The best time to start is when you’ve got enough money in the bank to support all contingencies.
  • The best time to start is when no one is already working on your idea.

Sure, there’s some valid ones here (it might actually be good to not start something until you’re out of debt, for example), however, I spotted quite a few that are, well, they’re pretty flimsy when brought out into the open. See any excuses missing from this list? Let us know your thoughts in the comments. — Wendy Boswell
